DIY 3D Camera

I was curious to see what I could find in the DIY 3D camera category just to see what’s out there and how “indie” does it get – how simple is it – what’s the quality like. And I found this guy who made a 3D camera rig with legos. yeah, legos. The two cameras he uses are called Veho Muvi Camcorders that record onto memory cards in 640 x 480 resolution, 2-megapixel, 30 frames per second.

Here’s his “how-to” video

My understanding is that he just records the video, uploads both camera media to youtube, chooses which type of 3D it is, and walla, youtube 3D.

yeah I noticed the different 3D experiments on youtube. I tried the various ways to view the experiments through youtube’s different options. It’s very interesting.
    Thanks for the link, Maddie!
